Sandra obtained her Medical Doctorate at Western University and is currently a family medicine resident at the University of Toronto. She will be continuing onto a fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the University of Toronto. She has been involved with medical education for 10 years – since before medical school—and teaching since high school! She has extensive experience with the CaRMs application process across multiple specialties in Canada. She is engaged in clinical and academic mentorship, including Canadian Medical Graduates through the Canadian Federation of Medical Students. Her extensive involvement with medical school admissions has allowed also her to develop unique insights that will help you stand out and strengthen your application.

My name is Maria Mikail and I am currently completing my Internal Medicine Residency at Western University. I completed the direct entry program at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. During my time in Ireland I had numerous leadership, mentorship and medical education roles which allowed me to assist students in obtaining a residency spot in North America. My interests including residency applications (ERAS and CaRMS), interview preparation and board examination preparation (USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK and CS, MCCEE and NAC OSCE).

Dr. Addo-Yobo is currently a Geriatric fellow and will be continuing as a Pulmonary/Critical-Care Fellow at SUNY Upstate. He grew up in Toronto and completed his Bsc. Biochemistry at McMaster University. He completed his medical training at Saba University in the Netherland Antilles and subsequently his residency in Internal Medicine at East Tennessee State University. He has always been passionate about helping students achieve their goals. He has tutored many of his colleagues throughout undergrad and medical school; and helped them not only pass but excel. He is a natural leader and has remarkable mentorship skills. He has helped many undergraduate students get into the programs they desired and received numerous awards for his involvement in medical student teaching/mentoring throughout residency, including inauguration into the prestigious Alpha-Omega Alpha Honor Society. He is very knowledgeable and resourceful with regard to medical schools applications, interviewing skills, board exam preparation.

Hello! My name is Dr Eryuzlu. I was born in Ottawa and did my undergraduate at the University of Ottawa in Biomedical Sciences. In fourth year undergraduate I interviewed for U of T and McMaster for medical school, and selected McMaster, at the Niagara Regional Campus. I was pretty set on family medicine from the start so I geared my clerkship experience towards applying for family medicine residency. During CaRMS I did 6 interviews for Family Medicine, and matched to the University of Toronto Family Medicine. I am not active in the family medicine program and looking forward to working with you on MMI preparation, CaRMS preparation or clinical skills development!

Rob is an Emergency Medicine Resident at Western with a prior background in one-on-one medical application coaching, he excels in helping students prepare for medical school interviews. Rob has successfully coached students for both the medical school application and through the CARMS process and has experience in both panel and MMI style interviews.

I’m Dr Stephanie and I look forward to helping out with what can be the hardest part of our medical professional careers- admission! I did my undergraduate degree at UBC and then I left for New York to study dentistry at NYU. When it comes to extra curriculars, research gigs, personal statements and resume builders- from experience I have some helpful advice. I look forward to meeting you :).

David Danesh is a Doctorate of Dental Medicine candidate at Harvard School of Dental Medicine in his final year of study. He counsels applicants on MMI and traditional interviews, personal statement and AADAS review, and admissions consulting. His experience in teaching, tutoring, and admissions consulting from the secondary school to professional school level makes him uniquely equipped to prepare applicants at all stages. He serves on the Harvard School of Dental Medicine Admissions Committee. He is also a member of the competitive U.S. National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program, which provides full funding for dental school study. He is passionate about dental public health policy and pediatric dentistry.

Sarah is a passionate, fourth year medical student at the University of Alberta with a diversity of experience in teaching and mentoring students. Sarah’s main area of expertise is in counselling students interested in gaining entry into Canadian medical schools. She has her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta, with her major in Political Science and minor in biology. As such, she works in many advocacy roles, and has experience entering medical school from a non-traditional background. 

Kaie received her BSc and MSc at Western University before completing medical school at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland. Kaie is currently a physician in the University of British Columbia Pediatrics residency program. As an international medical graduate, Kaie supports both CMGs and IMGs through the CaRMS and ERAS application process.  She has expertise in panel, MPI and MMI interviews, application review, and licencing exam preparation.

Ahmad is an enthusiastic family medicine resident, with vast experience teaching and mentoring students. Ahmad specializes in coaching students at any stage from high school to graduate school and anything in between. As a former graduate of the competitive Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University he has a strong interest in psychiatry/counselling and advocacy. Ahmad is an OSCE proctor, residency coach, CaRMS interview panelist and specialist in medical school applications and interviews.

Antonio is an enthusiastic, genuine, and passionate teacher experienced in both teaching large groups and mentoring in a one-on-one capacity. Academically, after earning his Honours BHSc at McMaster University, Antonio completed his Master’s in public health at the Johns Hopkins University before obtaining his MD at the University of Toronto. Drawing from his vast life experiences ranging from serving in the Canadian Forces, interning at the WHO headquarters, living on 4 continents, and touring as a jazz musician, Antonio caters his teaching according to the preferences and needs of his students and tries to meet them at their level. In his spare time, Antonio loves playing squash, attending live concerts, and planning his next backpacking trip.

Angela is an Obstetrics & Gynaecology resident at the University of Toronto. She is passionate about helping pre-medical and medical students achieve their goals and has successfully mentored many students through the OMSAS and CaRMS application process. She has particular expertise in the CASPer^® test and MMI interviews as a former McMaster medical student and reviewer, and is eager to utilize her experience to help new applicants.

I completed my Bachelor of Science with Honours at the University of Ottawa, after which I began my Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Toronto and graduated May of 2019. Currently, I am an
Industry Resident with a passion for promoting alternate careers for pharmacy students.

Milad is an experienced bilingual consultant for students of all backgrounds, with multiple years of experience as an MCAT instructor. His mentorship is a valuable asset for pre-med students considering medicine (for general consultations), applying for interviews (to prepare for CASPer®, ABS, & personal essays), and attending interviews (to prepare for MMI, MPI, & Panel).

Katherine is currently a family medicine resident in Ontario. She has experience as a non-traditional applicant having worked as a dietitian prior to medical school. She also has excelled at the CaRMS application process twice matching her first choice program each time. Katherine is experienced in MMI preparation, CaRMS applications to anesthesia and family medicine.
